Not sure if you need aligners?

Funny thing about teeth: they're always on the move. An improper bite can cause destruction over time, so even if it's not obvious they're out of alignment now, there are plenty of early signs that things are shifting. What are some signs? ↓

Difficulty Flossing →

You may have crowding

Inserting or removing floss a struggle? You could be at risk for plaque build up or cavities.

Pain when biting or chewing →

You may have a crossbite
A misaligned smile or cross bite can wear down your teeth, which may cause teeth to crack or break over time.

Snoring →

You may have a narrow arch

Snoring and other sleep difficulties could be a sign of sleep apnea, which may be exacerbated by misaligned teeth.

Speech Difficulties →

You may have an uneven bite

Misaligned teeth can restrict airflow and tongue movements, which can cause speech difficulties, such as a lisp.

Frequently asked questions

What are clear aligners and how do they work?

Clear aligner therapy is a type of orthodontic treatment that uses clear plastic trays to gently move your teeth into place over time. They work just like braces but are nearly invisible and can be removed whenever you need. Clear aligners have been trusted for more than 30 years and are considered a safe, reliable option by dental professionals.

The process starts with taking detailed records of your teeth to create a precise 3D model of your current smile. From there, we design a treatment plan that gradually shifts your teeth to their ideal positions through a series of small adjustments. The aligner company then makes custom clear trays—similar to thin mouthguards—that fit your teeth at each stage. Once you get your aligners, you’ll wear the first set for about 22 hours a day. After the prescribed period, you’ll switch to the next set, and continue progressing until you reach your desired results.

Why clear aligners?

Candid Aligners are ideal for patients with mild to moderate alignment issues who want a more convenient and comfortable alternative to traditional braces.

  • Convenience: Less time spent in the dental chair with remote monitoring.
  • Comfort: Smooth, clear plastic trays reduce discomfort and irritation.
  • Discreet Treatment: Straighten your teeth without anyone noticing.
  • Expert Oversight: Your progress is supervised by orthodontists for professional-level results.
What can Candid treat?

CandidPro is a great option for anyone who wants to increase their confidence and improve their overall health. Around 75% of Americans have clinically misaligned teeth, putting them at risk for long-term oral health issues (cavities, gingivitis, tooth damage) and whole-body health issues, including cardiovascular diseases. CandidPro can correct this misalignment and also help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.

Our team will determine if you’re a candidate for treatment, starting with an assessment of your bite. We will analyze your occlusion (how your teeth fit together) and take diagnostic records before recommending CandidPro.

There are some cases where traditional wired braces would be better suited. In that instance, we will refer you to a local trusted orthodontist.

Is the aligner material safe?

CandidPro manufactures its aligners using a high-grade medical polymer called ZenduraFLX. It’s rated as one of the most effective clear aligner materials on the market and is perfectly safe when used as intended. ZenduraFLX is BPA-free and unlikely to cause allergic reactions in most patients.

Do I need to see the doctor in person?

The first couple of visits will be in-person so we can assess your smile and take the records necessary for treatment. After that, you’ll use ProMonitoring™ app to share your progress using your smartphone.

How can I pay for Candid Pro?

We offer flexible financing options if you’re looking for a payment plan. You can also use orthodontic insurance benefits and/or your HSA/FSA dollars. If you’re concerned about the cost, it may help to remember that forgoing orthodontic treatment today could lead to more expensive treatments later in life.

What is the ProMonitoring app?

The ProMonitoring app is a mobile app that helps you share your progress with us over the course of your treatment. The app will notify you when it’s time to check in and guide you through the process of taking photos of your teeth.

The process is easy. You simply attach the included ScanBox Pro to your smartphone and follow the on-screen directions to take a series of photos of your teeth. These photos help us assess whether your treatment is going to according to plan!

Why do I need a retainer?

If you don’t wear a retainer, you could risk your teeth moving back to where they started! Once you finished wearing all of your aligners, we will provide you with a pair of retainers for FREE (for a limited time)
